Why is PT-kit so affordable for personal trainers?

This is the reason why PT-kit can be low on prices

When I set out to build PT-Kit, I had a specific goal: create a professional tool that wouldn't break the bank for trainers who are just starting out.

If you look at the pricing for most personal training software, it’s expensive. Big players like Trainerize can cost $10/month just for 2 clients, and those costs scale up fast. I wanted to do things differently. Right now, PT-Kit is just $1 for 2 clients, $5 for 10 clients, and $10 for 25 clients.

Here is exactly how I am able to keep PT-Kit so affordable while still providing a high-quality experience.

1. The App Store "Loophole"
One of the biggest hidden costs of software is the "App Store Tax." Apple and Google take a 15-30% cut of every dollar a developer makes through their stores.

PT-Kit is technically a web-based tool, not a native app. However, I built it so you can bookmark it to your phone’s home screen. It behaves exactly like an app—fast, full-screen, and convenient—but because it’s not in the App Store, I don’t have to pay those massive fees. I pass those savings directly to you.

2. Radical Minimalism
I am intentionally not "exploding" this product with features. Many platforms try to justify their high prices with AI "coaches," complex automations, and bells and whistles that most trainers never use.

PT-Kit focuses on the essentials: professional client management, workout building, and habit tracking. By keeping the product minimalist and simplistic, I keep my server costs low and the user interface easy to navigate. It has everything you need to be a great coach without the extra "bloat" that increases costs.

3. A Solo Founder Mission
PT-Kit is a one-man team. I don’t have a massive office, a sales department, or a marketing team to pay for. I taught myself Ruby on Rails to build this because I love the craft of coding and I love the fitness industry.

Right now, PT-Kit isn't about making massive profits; it's about reaching a break-even point where it can support itself. I only need about 10 trainers to break even on my hosting costs, and my dream is to eventually have 350-400 trainers using the tool. That’s all it takes for me to keep this business running as my full-time job.

Why Price Matters to Me
I remember what it was like to be a trainer struggling to manage clients on Google Sheets because I couldn't afford $50/month for software. I want PT-Kit to be the tool that helps you grow from 1 client to 25 without the software cost being a barrier.

It’s simple, it’s professional, and it’s built by someone who actually cares about your business.
